Condolences

Condolence From: Phil von Weymarn
Condolence: I had met Bob through my father, who used to run a wine estate in Germany and would travel to the US occasionally for promotion tours. Bob had been to Germany repeatedly, and had impressed me (as a youngster in the 80s) with his cheerful yet unobtrusive friendly attitude and keen interest in everything he would see around him. In 1987 my father and I visited Wisconsin and Bob had basically organized our entire stay in the state. We would organize wine tastings together, and I remember sitting next to him at the "Fox & Hounds". I could not say that I knew him, but I still remember him to this day.

Condolence: I worked with Bob at Discount Liquor for a few years and liked him tremendously. I helped him out when he needed it and thought he was a kind generous man. An example of this was every Sunday he would bring in hot ham and rolls and never asked for a dime, he just wanted to make sure you had enough. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Bob was a better person because of it. Rest in peace my friend.

Condolence: Bob was a wonderful man to work with and taught me to appreciate wine. I enjoyed working with him at wine tastings and in retail sales. He shared his expert knowledge with everyone--a true teacher. He was encouraging and upbeat. He made our world a better place. I'm sorry to hear of Bob's passing and my prayers are with his family.
