Mary Kean VanderVelde

Mary Kean VanderVelde died in Anacortes, WA on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the age of 63. She was born in Inglewood, California to Edward and Elizabeth (Cromie) Kean.

Mary had a Masters Degree in Education and taught at Oak Harbor Middle School for many years. She recently retired from teaching.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Wilson of Oak Harbor and Sarah Wilson of Rosamond, CA. Also surviving is her grandson, Zachary Badaouie of Oak Harbor and a sister, Pam (Jim) Landes of Carlsbad, CA.

A Memorial Service for Mary will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Whidbey Presbyterian Church beginning at 2:00 pm. Arrangements were entrusted to Wallin Funeral Home & Cremation. The family requests memorials be made to The Mary Fund to Benefit Students in Need at Oak Harbor Middle School, C/o Whidbey Island Bank, 450 Bayshore Drive, Oak Harbor, WA 98277
