Obituary for Marguerite Audrey Linnea Welch
Marguerite Welch, long time Oak Harbor resident, passed away in Everett, WA on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at the age of 85. She was born in Seattle, WA on September 20, 1928 to Adrian and Agnes Ericson.
Marguerite married Bert William Welch, Sr. on January 10, 1947 in Seattle, WA. She was employed by the Oak Harbor School District for 28 years where she worked in food service at Oak Harbor High School until her retirement in 1990. Marguerite was active in the Rebekah's, Emblem Club #450, and the POW Organization.
Marguerite is survived by three children; Adrianne (Gary) Gerlach of Ellensburg, WA, Bert (Cynthia) Welch, Jr of Palmer, AK, and Colleen (George) Hamblin of Oak Harbor, WA. Also surviving are five grandchildren, William & Chantel Welch, Shelley and Corey Cook, and Joel Gerlach and three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, and Riley Welch. She was preceded in death by her husband Bert, in 1995 and a brother, Arnold Ericson.

A memorial service for Marguerite will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Oak Harbor Lutheran Church. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wallin Funeral Home. A full obituary will follow.
