ROGER LEROY LIND
Roger LeRoy Lind, age 83 of Oak Harbor, WA, died on Sunday, July 27, 2014 in Bellingham, WA.
Roger was born on January 12, 1931 in Farwell, MN to Alfred Jonas and Florine (Johnson) Lind. He married Louise Yvonne Bender on October 2, 1955 in Balfour, ND.
Roger served in the United States Navy from 1950-1954. He re-enlisted in 1960, and retired as a TD-1 on June 9, 1977.
Roger is survived by his wife of nearly 59 years, Louise Lind of Oak Harbor, WA; children Steven Lind of Oak Harbor, WA, Pamela Gooslin of Virginia Beach, VA, Daniel Lind of Coupeville, WA, and David Lind of Oak Harbor, WA; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters Judith Gowin of Grand Forks, MN and Katherine Mailander of Reno, NV.
A private family memorial service will be held. Wallin Funeral Home in Oak Harbor, WA handled cremation arrangements.
