Jim Ramirez "Jimmy"  Hurst
Jim R. Hurst, age 61, longtime Oak Harbor resident, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016 in Coupeville, Washington.

Jim was born August 10, 1955 in Cavite, Philippines. He spent most of his life in Oak Harbor, where his dad, Bill W., retired after serving 20 years in the U.S. Navy. In his younger years, Jim spent time commercial fishing in Alaska. He then worked in construction for several years and eventually became an electrician by trade. Jim was an avid angler and hunter, and enjoyed hanging out and spending time with his life-long friends.

Jim is survived by daughter, Carrie Clemence; sisters, Irene Bourne, Mary Hurst and Judy McCommic; brother, Gary Hurst (wife, Edna); nephews, Kyle and Shane Embelton, Brandon, Jared and GJ Hurst; and two great-grand nieces, Alexis and Hayden Embelton. Jim was married for 22 years to ex-spouse Andrea Mahoney. He was preceded in death by his mother Anita R. Hurst and father, Bill W. Hurst.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion George Morris Post # 129, 690 SE Barrington Drive, Oak Harbor on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 2 p.m. Condolences and memories can be shared at Wallin Funeral Home & Cremation.
