Condolences

Condolence From: Chrissie Dunlap
Condolence: My heart goes out to Bob and all family and friends of Barbie. I have SO many memories of Barb. She and Nancy Fey hired me when I most desperately needed a job in December 2001. I worked at the party store for almost 7 years. I will never forget my time there. I learned so much from her including all her Barbie-isms such as Easter Schmeester, Punkies for Halloweenie, Fourth of Julia, May the Fourth be with you, VD day, and many others. She was not only my manager, she was my friend. She encouraged me to start attending Third Wednesdays, she included me in her Christmas parties for the Third Wednesday ladies. She taught me that all good purses have feet, and I will never forget her favorite store, 'Casualty' House. I attended several St Patty's Day Pub Crawls with her and Bob, she introduced me to 'Duck Farts' at the yacht club. Barb is the one who taught me to decorate for all holidays, I even received an email from her on September 29 asking if I had already 'Fall-ified' my home! I will so miss Barb, her wonderful laugh, her incredible sense of humor, and her joy for life. I love you, sweet lady❤️

Condolence: Barb was one of a kind, the life of a party, a bright and loving soul. Even though we didn't know each other very long, we became deep and trusted friends who laughed together, drank too much chardonnay together, and cheered each other up during a year that included her cancer treatment and my recovery from the loss of my husband. I will always be indebted to BBJ for her love and support. My heart goes out to her Bob with a pledge to be there for him just as he and BBJ were for me in my darkest days. We've lost one of the best but her bright light shines on in each of us she touched.
