Condolence: We are so sad to hear of the passing of the leader of the Puhrs and the King of the speed boat. When I think of uncle Bob, my memories take me back to the days on the water at Benoin Beach with that energetic laugh and quick wit.

He was always ready with a smile and a quick laugh that became contagious. Now the Lord has him with warmth and comfort at his new home. He will be missed! Prayers to him and the family.

Condolence: Dear Aunt Omie and Family: we are very sorry to hear of Uncle Bob's passing.

We too have many many fond memories of the great summers in Cape Breton and other fun times in Halifax with Bob and all of the other family friends and relatives always laughing, joking, and telling tall tales. Bob touched everyone he met by sharing his warm smile, his cheerful and often incredulous laugh, and his much needed "voice of reason" approach to matters both big and small. He was a wonderful person with a kind heart and we all feel so blessed that he was a part of our lives.

Condolence From: Shane Nadasdi
Condolence: I was very saddened to hear of the passing away of “Uncle Bob”. He was a great man and someone that I respected very much.

As a child, Uncle Bob was someone I looked forward to seeing. He had a charisma about him that fascinated and intrigued me. Him and I would often sneak off to his favorite fishing holes during the family functions. I spent many hours with him fishing and hiking in Big Harbour and Ben Eoin. I have many great memories of Bob that I will pass on and share with my kids. Even to this day, every time I pick up my fishing rod I think of him. I will always remember him teaching me how to tie my line and bait my hook.

Puhr Family:
I often visit the fishing holes in Big Harbour and reflect on the time we spent together. Its amazing how many good memories could be made on the side of that little river. If you ever want to revisit Big Harbour you’re more then welcome to come stay at my house. I’m not very far away from his favorite fishing holes.

Very sorry for your loss,
He was an amazing man,
Shane Nadasdi and family.

Condolence: Dear Puhr Family, I recently read about the loss of your dear loved one. Although we are not friends acquainted personally, please accept my condolences. I am sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult things we can experience. May you find comfort in the memories you shared together and the Bible's promise that soon " death will be no more" ( Revelation 21 : 3 & 4 ). Our loving God Jehovah has given us this encouraging promise for the future.

Condolence From: (Fr.) Tom MacNeil
Condolence: Over 5o years of wonderul memories of Bob and Omie and the Puhr family coming to Cape Breton and bringing a fulllness of life to all of us. Each year was another unfolding of stories and comments to be recalled many times at family gatherings. Bob was a very "solid" person, generous with his time, talent and treasure. Bob added to the life of any community/parish where he lived. He was able to "absorb" many of the challenges of life and be "larger in wisdom" than any one event. Thank you, Bob, your life has made a difference in our world! Tommy
