Condolences

Condolence From: John Hall
Condolence: Hi everyone,

I just don't know what to say. Keith was my friend from about 8 years old. He was my best friend in so many ways. I last saw him in his home on Whidbey, and the conversation started just just like we had seen each-other the day before. That was what kind of man he was. In all those years, growing up, and becoming Men, we never had even an argument. I remember when his first marriage came to an end, he stayed on my large couch for six months. One day I was out, and spotted a really cool love seat. When he came home that evening, I told him my couch was taking too much of toll from him sleeping on it, and showed him the new Love seat for him to sleep on. I could see him coming to the realization, that his comfy life at our home was coming to an end, and an ordeal was about to unfold. He didn't say a word, just OK. We spent the rest of the evening talking and enjoying each-others company. Me and my girlfriend, to him good night, and retired to our bedroom. 10 minutes later, we heard his familiar routine, he turned of the TV, and noisily went about setting out his bedding for the night. Then came his footsteps down the hall, the bathroom door closed, and the seat went down. We both sprang from the bedroom quietly. In the living-room, we threw his bedding aside, removed the the seat pillows, and pulled out the hide-a-bed. It had a brand new mattress, complete with all new bedding + pillows. We crept back to our room, and waited. the toilet flushed, the door opened and his footstep disappeared down the hall. Suddenly, there was a gasp, and Keith said "Oh wow, thanks guys!" The next morning the gloom from his separation was gone. I say this because, I was the one who was grateful for his friendship. However, I could not repair him during the loss of Carl. I have always been proud of his Environmental Activism, and Keen ability to keep old friends in touch with each other. I miss you Keith, the world just got a little poorer with out you. John

Condolence: Dear Pankau family
Please accept my sincere condolences from a member of the 'international family' that Keiths's Mom and Dad hosted over the years. It was my pleasure to meet Keith during some of the big get-togethers that were hosted on Whidbey Island. Keith was always a character and quick wit who thrived in those settings.
He will be missed I am sure, but memories of him will live on in those he met and cherished.
Sincerely, Maurice Tivey

Condolence: Still can't believe you're gone, Keith. But, since I'm writing this here, it is starting to become true for me. It's going to be hard adjusting to life without any brothers. You were the only one I had left. I'll miss your sense of humor most. You had the most infectious laugh I ever heard. It was impossible not to laugh along with you! Sharing stories and jokes, too. Rest in Peace, Bro. I'm REALLY going to miss you!!
