RIP Sir! You were the epitome of what a true leader should be. Your kindness and guidance to a young Ensign, who didn't know "come here from sic'em", was never forgotten. I remember you telling me, "Rickee, don't let anybody ever tell you, because you're a girl, that you're not a valid and valuable part of the Navy! Keep your head straight and keep your sense of humor....you'll need it around us aviators.You were a guiding light in the very new and confusing world of Nav' Air.You had that remarkable ability to remember not only folks' names, but something about each and every one of us - including my late husband. My sincere condolences to the family, friends and former shipmates who knew and loved this extraordinary human being. Godspeed.
