Lloyd Williams Jr.
Lloyd A. Williams, Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Swedish Hospital on Thursday afternoon, April 5, 2018. He was 79 years of age. The youngest of five children, Lloyd was born in Elma, WA on June 9th, 1938 to Lloyd Sr. and Rose (Combs) Williams. The family moved to Bremerton during WWII as Lloyd's father was in construction. Lloyd attended schools in Elma and Port Angeles High.
In 1955 the family settled in Oak Harbor, WA where Lloyd followed his father in the construction business. Lloyd married Charlotte Isham in 1957, had a son Jeff in 1958, and a daughter Julie was born in 1960. The marriage ended and single Lloyd met his forever partner, Alma Boyer, a widow with 4 children. Together, they produced one son Jay in 1968.
Lloyd worked construction for 38 years. One of his proudest achievements was building many homes in the Patton's Hideaway Housing Development where they lived for 52 years.
Lloyd's passion for golf led him to his retirement job working in grounds maintenance for Whidbey Golf and Country Club, and his love of classic cars to the "Whidbey Cruzers Car Club". Lloyd was a past member of the "Challengers Car Club" and a lifetime member of the Oak Harbor Elks Lodge #2362.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Alma of 52 years, his sons Jeff (Tina) Williams, Jay (Beth) Williams, Bob (Cindy) Boyer, Skip (Lisa) Boyer, daughters Julie Williams-Parker, Jill Boyer, and Holly Boyer. The family also includes 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, his brother Lawrence, sister's Phyllis & Joan, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Sr, mother Rose, and sister Shirley.
We will miss him forever and are incredibly enriched through his knowledge, guidance and dedication to his family and friends. Lloyd wanted a great 80th birthday party and was looking forward to it so, in his honor we will have a Celebration of Life on his 80th birthday, Saturday June 9th at 1pm at Wallin Funeral Home.
