Obituary for Eugene Albin "Gene" Zwolinski

Eugene Albin "Gene" Zwolinski
Eugene “Gene” Zwolinski, 72, died peacefully September 7, 2017, at Providence Hospital in Everett Washington. He was born November 10, 1944, in Waterbury, Connecticut, the son of Albin and Marie (Landry) Zwolinski.

Due to the early passing of his mother, Gene was raised by his father, grandparents, and doting aunties, in traditional Polish-Catholic fashion. Following high school, Gene volunteered his service to our country with the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge, Gene moved west to Seattle, Washington, meeting the love of his life, Trisha Talik, whom he married. Together, Gene and Trish created an idyllic life on beautiful Whidbey Island, raising two beautiful, talented daughters. Gene and Trish celebrated nearly 47 years of marriage.

Gene was a proud member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union #66, a builder of lasting friendships and family homes, a champion for those in need, and a firm believer and example of the American Dream. Gene’s incredible generosity and tireless work-ethic are an example to us all.

In addition to his parents, Gene was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela. Surviving in addition to his wife, Trisha (Talik) Zwolinski, are his daughter Jennifer (Mills) and her husband Darren; grandchildren Cyras and Violet Mills, as well as a large and loving extended family.

A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, September 20, at Langley United Methodist Church, Anthes Ave. Langley, Washington. There will be a public viewing at 9 a.m followed by a 10 a.m. service. Military honors will be provided under the auspices of the JBLM United States National Guard Honor Guard. Interment will be at Langley Woodman Cemetery, followed by a reception at Langley United Methodist Church.

Those who wish to honor Gene may make gifts in his memory to a charity of their choosing.
