Words can't express how sad it was to read Rich's obituary in the San Luis Obispo Tribune today. We both taught at Santa Maria High School, and we were in the same carpool for years. What fun times we all had each day riding between Arroyo Grande and Santa Maria. Rich was always on time, had a great sense of humor, and always ready to help every way. He loved his family and spoke of them often. We always looked forward to his annual Christmas letter. He was a wonderful friend.
