Obituary for Heriberto 'Ed' Lara Basoco

On November 18, 2018 our amazing father made his final journey to heaven. Heriberto “Ed” Basoco passed quietly away with his daughters at his side.

Ed was born in El Paso, Texas on September 11, 1946 to Manual and Soledad Basoco. At the age of sixteen the family moved to Los Angeles where he attended Crenshaw High School prior to being drafted into the Army where he served his full tour of duty at Fort Lewis, Washington.

He is survived by his daughters Mimi Basoco of Mt. Vernon, Washington, Meri Basoco Tracey (Joseph) of Oak Harbor, Arianna Basoco (Jason White) of Oak Harbor and grandchildren Madison, Mackinzee and Sawyer, and Annaleah, great granddaughter Skylar of Oak Harbor. Also surviving are his sisters Dora Garcia and Eloisa Hawley of Los Angeles, CA and brother Hector Basoco of Phoenix, Az. He was preceded in death by his partner to 15 years, Carol Steem, his parents, brother Fernando Basoco and sister Manuela, as well as his beloved granddaughter Courtney Basoco.

Celebration of life will be held at a later time. Date and time to be announced.
