Cheryl Kathleen Gardner
October 22, 1945 - November 23, 2018

Cheryl’s earthly journey began in Gimli, Manitoba, Canada. She was at ease in the cold climate and njoyed winter sports such as tobogganing and ice skating as well as family, church and school. Early in life she began playing piano for Sunday School and continued to do so until she completed her course in the Christian Science Sunday School.

Studying office skills during and after high school, Cheryl was well employed. She later earned a degree in voice performance and a master’s degree in education. She was a teacher in the public schools in California as well as Oak Harbor. Marrying an American, Cheryl lived most of her adult experience in the United States.

Cheryl served as organist for the Oak Harbor Christian Science Church for many years, blending instrumental music faithfully with the Bible Lesson-Sermon and the Wednesday meeting topic. She was a member of the Washington Music Teachers Association, The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston and First Church of Christ, Scientist, Oak Harbor.

Survivors, daughter Michelle and granddaughter, Kaela, brought new joys and she faithfully supported them as they were finding their way in doing their best to honor God and country.
