Obituary

Ben Steven “Jammer” Lamb, 24, of Oak Harbor, died suddenly on December 12, 2019 from an overdose, after an eleven-year battle with addiction.

He is survived by his parents, Laurie and Robert Croan, Margaret Davis, and Patrick Lamb; daughter, Harper Lamb, and her mother Kaitlee Pate; siblings Joshua, Alicia Rose, Aleesha Marie; and many aunts, uncles, and nieces. His brother, Timothy C. Earl “TC” Davis preceded him in death.

Ben was a life-long resident of Oak Harbor, born in Anacortes, WA February 12, 1995. He attended school in Oak Harbor and participated in sports and the Oak Harbor Middle School Choir.

Often known for his clowning around by his classmates and teachers, Ben was the kid in class that made everyone laugh and usually the source of morning antics that even made the teachers smile. Ben completed his education through Greenhill School in Chehalis, WA and was working on Technician classes for Automotive Engine Repair.

A service will be held to celebrate Ben’s life at Wallin Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 (his birthday) at 1:00 pm with a reception to follow.

I met Ben when he was in Middle school when he was Dating my youngest daughter Kenda they dated on and off for years. They were still in contact with each other and still very good friends. He holds a very special place in my heart. He would hit me up on Facebook and always say momma I miss you and want to see you. He would let me know how good he was doing when he was doing good and he would tell me when he relapsed. I would always try and talk to him about going into rehab. He would laugh and say momma that's for quitters and I'm not a quitter I would tell him I know your not. He was so strong headed sometimes it would make me so mad but I knew he was fighting many many demons. Ben you will always be in my heart and I will miss your jokes and your smile and your laugh. You are at rest now no more fighting your demons you are at peace. R.I.P. Ben Lamb. You will always be in my heart. I love you forever and always.

I only have known Ben for almost a year I was introduced to him in march shortly after he and I dated for a bit and just shortly before he passed he and I were once more together Ben is someone who had the most loving heart. Somehow he always knew the right words to make me smile. Ben was one of the only people that I can actually talk to he was someone who never judged me for my mistakes and I never judged him for his. He was a good man no a great man who loving and kind. I will never forget the love I had/have for him may he soar with angels and be at rest. I love you Ben Lamb and I always will you're forever in my heart.

So so very sorry for your loss/Heaven's gain! We live in Oak Harbor and a church member of ours, La Verne Clark, from Church on The Rock just passed away also and I saw his obituary because of that!!
