Obituary for Jaushon Arnell "Shon Shon" Collett

On Friday, January 3rd, 2020, Jaushon Arnell Collett, loving son and brother, passed away at the age of 19.

Shon was born September 1st, 2000, in Fairbanks, Alaska, to Tim and Susan Collett; he was the youngest of 4 children.

Shon was destined to do great things from a very early age. He had a willingness to help and to do his best for anyone, anytime, and he did; from being the "pit crew" in his dad's Camaro club, to being the best uncle to his nephews and nieces, to bringing flowers and chocolates to his Mom, just because. Shon had a passion for the Navy, following in his Grandpa Charles’ and his dad’s footsteps. He graduated from Sea Cadets and looked forward to joining the Navy. Shon had many passions, one of which was photography. He had no problem grabbing anyone who was willing to go do a "photo shoot"!

Shon was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind, loving, compassionate heart. Shon's unconditional love and respect for everyone he encountered, is a testament, not only to him, but to the family he came from. This was Shon.

Shon was preceded in death by his Grandma Karen Sue, Grandpa Charles, and his nephew, Santi. He is survived by his parents, Tim and Susan Collett; his siblings: Aubrey (Jada, Mailani, Hezakiah), Jaquay (Bari and Abby), Michaela (Rai and Nova); Grandpa and Grandma Howard and Guadalupe; Alaskan Grandpa; Uncle Dan and Aunt Sally (Joie); and several cousins, aunts and uncles, and many, many friends from Alaska to Washington.

Services will be held on Friday, January 10th at Wallin Funeral Home, 1811 NE 16th Ave, Oak Harbor, Washington. A Public Visitation will be held from 12pm-3:30pm with a Private Family Goodbye at 3:30pm. The Funeral Service will begin at 4pm with a Reception to follow immediately.
