Dear Marilee and family,
May your memories of Don continue to keep you feeling warm and loved. The grieving is difficult but necessary and God's love will carry you through. My very first memory of Don was after our family moved in the spring of 1944 from Saunders County to Fremont at 606 E. 2nd St. Don lived about a block away and as I saw him walking down the street toward our house, I saw his very shiny shoes! And his shoes were always forever shiny throughout life. His father was already deceased at that time. He said his father taught taught him how to shine his shoes. Only about five years ago he told me that he liked to come to our house because I had two older brothers and a father. He seemed to appreciate the male influence in the house. May the Peace of Christ be with you always.
With love from Verla
