"Mr Prato"

I met Al when I came to Olympic View Elem. I served students in his class that needed academic support.  Whenever I was in his classroom, his love for all of his students was obvious.  His students also loved being “Mr. Prato” kids.  Al welcomed the students no matter their ability.  My respect and love for Al as a teacher and man began in his classroom.

Al and I became friends and then fishing buddies.  We spent many hours on the water together.  I didn’t care if I caught anything.  Any day spent on the water with Al was a good day.  Al was just a good man!

What a wonderful world this would be with more like “Mr. Prato”.
