Obituary for Mary Mahoney

Mary Mahoney, born June 9, 1954 passed away following a brief battle with cancer on February 6, 2017 in Mount Vernon, WA.
Mary was born and raised in Hutchinson, KS, one of 7 children to Josephine and Joe Saldana.
Mary and Michael met and were married in Hutchinson, KS on June 28, 1975. Mary traveled with Michael making their homes at his numerous duty stations while he was in the US Navy, finally settling in Oak Harbor, WA. in 1991.
Mary and Michael have two sons, Brian and wife Jessica of Austin TX, and Patrick and wife Trish of Shoreline WA. Mary's pride and joy were her grandchildren, Alden, Tula, Beatrice, and Hazel.
Mary was an active member in her church, St Josephs of Cupertino, Navy Wives Club of America #150 and her Thursday night bunco group. Mary also worked 15 years at the NAS Whidbey MWR childcare facility retiring from there in 2015.
Mary is survived by her husband, Michael at the family home, sons Brian and his family and Patrick and his family, her Mother-in-Law, Lena Mahoney of Coupeville, 6 brothers and sisters, Janet, Eddie, Julie, Robert, Sally, and Zita, special Uncle Fred of Suquamish, WA, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Rosary is being held at Knights Of Columbus Hall, Oak Harbor, WA at 6pm through February 14. A funeral mass will be held at St. Augustineā€s at 10 am March 8th in Oak Harbor, WA., with a reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
