I served with Jack Hawley in VA-165 when we were introducing the A-6C to the fleet. Working with him to solve some of the problems of introducing a new and complex system was always a pleasurable and professional experience. The guy had a grin that could light up a room. The last time I saw him was in the nut & bolt section at Bellingham's Hardware Sales about a year ago. Still had that trademark grin.
