It is with great sadness that I learned today of the passing of Bessie. My mother loved her deeply. Over the years they exchanged many letters. Her letters where enjoyed by our whole family as my mother would read them to us. They were filled with the wonderful things going on in her life. The pride she had as she talked about her children and grand children. How she kept track of all of them, I'll never know. I remember fondly the conversations I had with her and Ed in the kitchen surrounded by all kinds of pies and vegetables from her huge garden. She was one of a kind...the sweetest kind.
